UK VISA GUIDANCE
All international students, apart from Swiss nationals and those from the EU/EEA states are likely to require a visa in order to study in the UK. UK student visas are awarded on a points-based system. You’ll need to provide the following information in order to meet all of the requirements.
- Passport details
- A recent photograph
- An unconditional offer of a place on a course by a licensed Tier 4 Sponsor.
- Proof of English language skills
- Proof of financial support for the duration of your stay in the UK
- You may also need an ATAS certificate to study certain subjects in the UK

Student Life in the UK

SCHOLARSHIPS AND FUNDING
Scholarships available through the UK government
It might be a relief to know that there are hundreds of scholarships and bursaries available to international students who want to study in the UK. As well as key schemes run by the UK government, individual universities also have their own scholarships and bursaries, so it’s well worth doing your research to check whether you’re eligible to apply . Student Culture in the UK is a global scholarship program that is open to all international students who meet the criteria. Commonwealth Masters Scholarships
Available for international students who are domiciled in a Commonwealth country and want to study for a Masters’s degree in the UK, these scholarships provide funding for tuition fees, airfare travel to and from the UK as well as other expenses.

Student Accommodation in the UK
During the first year of university, you can usually expect to be offered a place in Halls of Residence or other accommodation run by the university itself. This is shared, self-catering accommodation with other students and is a great way to get to know people and make new friends.
Halls of Residence normally have shared bathrooms and kitchens, and are usually mixed-sex accommodation. There is help available to find alternative student-friendly accommodation if this isn’t suitable for you.

For post-graduate specializations, the tuition fee varies depending on your course:

Work and Study in the UK
A great way of challenging and expanding your language skills as well as helping you support yourself, it’s possible for international students to work whilst studying in the UK.
In general, if you are studying at degree level, you are able to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term-time, and up to 40 hours during holidays.
Your biometric residence permit should provide information on what hours you are able to work whilst you’re studying, but you can also check you are eligible to work in the UK or speak to one of our advisors who will be happy to give you more information.
Manners and Behavior
A country that is quick to embrace the influences of other cultures, for example one of the favorite national dishes is Indian curry, you will find a lot of diversity in the UK especially in its big cities. The British are generally friendly, polite and reserved, with a sense of humor which can sometimes be a bit sarcastic.
Whilst there isn’t much formal etiquette in the UK, being polite, punctual and greeting people with a smile will always stand you in good stead.
